The Gaisberg toboggan run extends for approximately 3.5 km, while other routes include the 3.5 km Kelchalm run and the 5.5 km Trattenbachalm run. Traditional mountain huts along the way provide the perfect opportunity to stop and enjoy Tyrolean specialities.

From 18 November to 23 December 2026, the historic centre of Kitzbühel will be transformed into a magical Christmas setting. Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup

From 15 to 17 January 2027, the Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup will bring international teams and more than 140 horses to Kitzbühel. Played on a snow-covered field against the spectacular backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser mountains, this prestigious tournament combines thrilling equestrian sport with an elegant Alpine atmosphere. Visitors can watch exciting matches, enjoy entertainment and discover one of Kitzbühel’s most distinctive winter events.

Hahnenkamm Races

From 18 to 24 January 2027, the world’s best alpine skiers will gather in Kitzbühel for the legendary Hahnenkamm Races. The highlight of the event is the spectacular downhill race on the Streif, considered one of the most challenging ski courses in the world. How to get to Kitzbühel?

By train

Kitzbühel has its own railway stations, making it easy to reach the resort without a car. Rail connections provide access from major Austrian cities, with onward international connections available from destinations such as Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich.

By car

Kitzbühel is easily accessible by road from Austria, Germany and neighbouring European countries. The resort can be reached from the direction of Innsbruck, Salzburg or Munich, with road connections leading directly into Kitzbühel and the surrounding villages.

Once in the resort, local public transport and ski buses make it easy to travel between the town, accommodation and ski lifts.

By plane

Salzburg Airport and Innsbruck Airport are the main airports for reaching Kitzbühel. From either airport, travellers can continue to the resort by train, private transfer or car.

Munich Airport is another convenient option for international travellers arriving from further afield.
