By car By car

Val Thorens is easily accessible via the D117.

  • Lyon: 2 hours 30 minutes (approximately 197 km) via the A43
  • Grenoble: 2 hours 30 minutes (around 140 km) via the N85
  • Chambéry: 1 hour 45 minutes (roughly 110 km) via the N90

Upon your arrival, you may leave your vehicle in the car park, which incurs a charge during the winter season. However, there is a complimentary shuttle bus service operating throughout the resort, providing convenient access to all areas of Val Thorens.

By train By train

Travelling to Val Thorens by train offers a convenient and scenic journey to this renowned ski resort in the French Alps. You will arrive at Moutiers-Salins-Brides-les-Bains, the SNCF station, from which you can take a taxi or shuttle bus for approximately 45 minutes to your destination. The bus station is conveniently located adjacent to the SNCF station, making transfers seamless.
