Swap your skis for a sledge and discover Sankt Anton’s 4 km natural toboggan run. Starting at Gampen at an altitude of 1,850 metres, the run takes you through the snowy landscape towards the valley, with approximately 500 metres of vertical descent. Accessible via the Nasserein gondola, it is a fun winter activity to enjoy with family or friends. Evening tobogganing is also available on selected days during the winter season.

Events not to be missed in Sankt Anton am Arlberg

Stanton Ski Open

From 4 to 6 December 2026, the Stanton Ski Open will officially launch the winter season in Sankt Anton am Arlberg. Visitors can test the latest ski and snowboard equipment free of charge, enjoy live music across three stages and discover a selection of food trucks. The programme also includes avalanche awareness sessions and the Arlberg Safety Camp, making this three-day festival the perfect combination of winter sports, entertainment and useful mountain safety advice.

Schneetreiben Ski Show

From 30 December 2026 and every Wednesday from 13 January 2027, the spectacular Schneetreiben ski show will bring the history of skiing to life. Professional skiers and snowboarders will perform impressive demonstrations, formations and jumps under the lights. Combining winter sports, music and special effects, this evening show offers visitors an entertaining experience and celebrates Sankt Anton am Arlberg’s heritage as one of the cradles of alpine skiing.

Der Weisse Rausch

On 17 April 2027, 555 skiers, snowboarders and telemark skiers will take part in Der Weisse Rausch, Sankt Anton’s legendary end-of-season race. After a spectacular mass start at Vallugagrat, competitors will complete a demanding 7.5-kilometre descent with 1,346 metres of elevation. Visitors can watch the thrilling race and enjoy the lively atmosphere as participants cross the finish line in the heart of the resort.

By train

Sankt Anton am Arlberg has its own railway station in the centre of the resort, making train travel one of the easiest ways to reach the village. Direct and connecting rail services provide convenient access from several major European cities.
