Hochzeiger in the Tyrol

This is the perfect family-friendly resort, offering 40 kilometres of ski slopes ideal for your children’s first turns on snow. The resort sits at 1,450 metres, with the highest point reaching 2,450 metres. It has 9 ski lifts to take you all around the ski area. Families come here for the high-quality ski lessons and stay for the wide range of activities for both adults and children. For younger ones, there’s a kids’ club and several ski schools where they can learn to ski. If you fancy trying something new, there’s also a snowpark offering snowboard lessons.

The Pitztal ski area is a real pleasure. Beginners will practise on blue slopes, while more experienced skiers, like teenagers, can tackle the red and black runs. The resort offers slopes for all levels, and there’s a great choice of mountain bars and restaurants, easily accessible even for non-skiers.

Beyond skiing, families can enjoy a 6-kilometre toboggan run, ride in a snowcat, or take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village. Even better, with the Bambini ski pass, children ski for free alongside their parents!

You’ll find quality accommodation close to the slopes and ski lifts, meaning you won’t have to carry your children’s skis. Choose from stylish hotels or spacious apartments, perfect for welcoming the whole family. Many hotels also feature spas and swimming pools, ideal for relaxing after a day on the slopes.

For those wanting to try something different or nature lovers, we highly recommend a snowshoe walk or a hike in the Austrian mountains. Follow the hiking trails of the Olympiaregion Seefeld in Tyrol and enjoy a magical walk through the forest – a true change of scenery! Tyrol also offers 750 kilometres of toboggan runs across Austria, where your children can have endless fun.

We truly recommend this quiet, family-friendly resort, perfect for families with young children.
