Why Choose to Ski in Brides-les-Bains?

The Spa ski resort of the Alps, Brides-les-Bains is part of the Les 3 Vallées ski area. The largest ski area in the world, Les 3 Vallées has 600km of ski slopes, the vast majority of which are high-altitude (85% of the ski area is 1800m above sea level).

However, located at an altitude of just 580m, Brides-les-Bains is the lowest of all the Les 3 Vallées ski area. It has the perfect conditions for natural thermal activity, resulting in numerous natural thermal spas. This makes Brides-les-Bains a hot spot for those who are just as interested in wellbeing, spa treatments and relaxation as they are about skiing.

The thermal waters of Brides-les-Bains are said to be exceptionally health-promoting and is claimed by the thermal doctor to help with weight management and rheumatism. The water comes from the Hybord Sud spring, naturally hot, drawn from 44m below the surface. Other claims include decongesting properties, as well as relaxing, soothing sore and tired joints and relieving muscle tension.

Brides-les-Bains is one of the best ski locations in France to visit a natural thermal spa – with one of the largest in France available in the resort. Well-known spa resorts include the famous Grand Spa Thermal and Cinq Mondes Spa. There are some truly beautiful spas available, so you can expect a truly immersive and luxurious wellbeing experience in Brides-les-Bains. Which is extra satisfying after a long day’s skiing!

With all these wonderful and unique aspects of Brides-les-Bains, you may already be convinced about visiting. However, it’s also important to recall just how exceptional the skiing facilities are in the region. With very easy access to 64 ski slopes (26 green slopes, 8 blue slopes, 23 red slopes and 7 black slopes), and of course the rest of the fantastic Les 3 Vallées area via gondola, you won’t have to compromise on excellent skiing when you stay in this relaxing spa resort.
